LADIES AND GENTLEMEN I HAVE SOLVED OUR DRL PROBLEM!!!@!@!@@@!oneee111
with a little help... lol
Ok now onto the real thing. Reading from a Mitsubishi board someone suggested to do something to that little red fuse box. take a connector out. but that worked for the galant he said. So i decided to try it with the eclipse. IT WORKED
here is a pic of the pin that must either be broken off or bent out of the way, i bent mine out of the way just to be safe
(if you are going to just bend the pin, bend it so it faces the edge of the box, towards the outside)
that is it, now i just now tested it by turning the car on, releasing the e-brake and no drl, no hid flicker, nothing. Now i dont know any long term effects or if it messes anything else up, so for now i am going to put the box back in with the clip bent and see what happens. I will post some more in about 30 mins. _________________ -John

ok guys, well i just got back from driving around, testing things out and i see nothing else that is effected by that pin. The car drives fine, no SES light, no lighting problems, no audio probs, everything works perfectly fine. So for now i see no other problems by bending that pin or removing it completely. There is my christmas present to everyone, and everyone have a happy new year... WITH NO DRL
btw drew i apologize now, i know you put a lot of effort and money into trying to get rid of drl by using your brain and engineering skills, but hey lets all be happy we can rid our problems now!!!

Okay I did that test and it didn't work WTF? If this is true and for some strange reason I screwed up the test, because that's the pin I trimmed, I'm going to have to try and cancel my order of 3 units tomorrow. Fuck this forum $500 down for nothing. I don't mean that at any one individual, just in general. I know one thing for sure, in no way am I going to even try and contribute anymore, just seems to bit me in the ass.

I just took the unit apart again and tried it again. BTW you are NOT the one to be able to take the credit for this. BrianJ posted that link in a PM to me and I posted it. Don’t know what I did wrong testing it, but I tried it again and it worked. I’m still thinking of repercussions, it being a comm. link and all. But like I said screw it, I’m done posting tech shit on this forum again. If they don’t cancel my order, at least don’t try and fight me on ebay, while I try and get rid of the units.
BTW testing isn't fully proven, you would have to test the AC, back lights, passing lights and wipers all combinations there of. But right now I don't feel like doing it.

The minimal has been tested, you can understand why I'm not to excided about this. Right now I'm dog tired and majorly pissed. No not at anyone in general. Just a huge $500 for nothing slap in the face. Grrr. BTW the guy that came up with this idea had a Gallant. Maybe someone should check their forum.
