Hell, no idea where I was Oct 23, 2008 , but I'm sure I was out have'n fun !
Damm, didn't realize the difference between the GT & GS was that great. Nice attemp though on the GS's part to try and keep-up . _________________ 2007 Eclipse GT / Auto / Sunset / 20% Tint / DashDAQ / INJEN CAI / Energy Motor Mounts / RIPP Long Tube Headers (Jet-Hot Coated), HF Cat, BRAT / Magnaflow Cat-Back / Progress Rear Swaybar / Megan Coilover Suspension / Eagles F1 GS-D3
Wow, not one comment...eh? I'll have to go find some better vids...
I've been holding my tongue. The 350z, for instance, was built for boost yet not running boost. His compression ratio was lower than stock and his exhaust sucked and it was not tuned for stated mods. It was SLOWER than stock by quite a bit, plus the driver missed a shift.
Nothing to brag about.
I don't know the details of the SS, but I would imagine that, seeing the ethics of the video producer, it is a similar situation, so I did not investigate any further. _________________ What you say !!

Haha, I knew you'd bite
There was an even better vid of another modded Z and modded 4g over on the my350z site last year that was taken down after the Z owner was flamed for losing badly....I wish I could find it
The 2003-2006 350Z's (even the rev-ups) are a drivers race with a 6 speed Eclipse GT. But after the HR motors were slapped into the Z, it's all over for the 4g, unless its heavily modded...
The reason we don't allow members to get into video pissing constests is that for each victory, there is an equal loss and no one knows the experience of the driver or the mods to the cars.
I never raced a 4G when my Z was stock, but I have zero problems putting a friend's '07 Z (HR) with underdrive pulleys and CAI in its place, so racing a 4G at this point is not quite fair.
Every weekend that I drive downtown I seem to tangle with a 4G before I come back. There is a reason I do not post my kill stories in this forum.

Hence why I said we win some, we lose some to preface the videos...
This is by no means a pissing contest, just a slice of the better results for the 4g in the real world
Anything can and does happen in the real world (from autos racing sticks, to misshifts, several passengers, poor maitenance, to people with hidden mods, bad jumps, bald tires, etc.)
